Video game fans around the world all played the successful Destiny beta and are now eagerly awaiting the official release. This new game is from renowned publisher Bungie, who was responsible for creating the titanic Halo series. Destiny "the game" will be a combination of a first person shooter and a massively multiplayer online role playing game. It has been in development since at least 2009 and continues to garner more and more hype with each passing week. They had a pretty extensive beta testing period that finally closed down on July 27th, 2014; it was considered an overwhelming success. All fans can do now is remain patient and wait for the official release.

What is it?
Bungie is one of the most iconic video game studios that exist today, and that's mainly because of their work on the Halo franchise, which has been considered one of the most successful FPS series to date. Destiny takes a lot of inspiration from the series, which will include the iconic full-body combat armor, unique and alien guns, as well as the iconic face mask that Master Chief was known for in Halo. In addition to that, the game will have a ton of MMORPG elements as well, such as character classes, an open world, and many levels of in-depth customization. There are some major differences from common FPS games and common MMORPGs alike, though, so the end result is going to be very unique.

Gameplay
Like in many MMORPGs, players will be able to choose a race and a class that'll seriously determine what their strengths and their weaknesses are. There are three classes to choose from: Titan, Hunter, or Warlock. Whatever class has been chosen will affect what their focus is going to be in group situations; they'll be able to choose offensive roles, defensive ones, or buff-based roles, among other things. Many MMORPGs set players down into a persistent world along with the rest of the players on that server, but this game is going to have a matchmaking system similar to the original Halo series that'll allow players to join and leave different groups.
